You were born for this and yet it's the families that get to benefit from it. ~ Licha Vazquez - Mother of two, grandmother of two

Thank You Meghan!

Working with Meghan changed how I approach parenting my daughter. Meghan moved me into getting to the heart of acceptance of what I was working with - both with my personality and that of my daughter. Meghan helped me with tools to get closer to being the parent I want to be - as well as being the mother my daughter wants me to be! I've learned to be more patient, more present, and to think more deeply about what's really going on with myself and my child. My relationship with my daughter has become less fraught with conflict and has deepened into a more calm, loving, fun relationship! Thank you, Meghan! ~ Tegan Hoover - Ultimate Parenting Success Course graduate

I'm so Glad I Did This

As a long time friend of Meghan’s I encouraged her to follow her dream of becoming an Empowered Parenting coach.  During the 2020 Covid lock down we set up a plan to talk on the phone once a week to keep in touch.  As we connected each week I got to learn more about the Jai Institute for Parenting program Meghan was participating in.  It became clear to me that my family would benefit from having Meghan as a coach and to work through the Ultimate Parenting Success course.  I am so grateful I did because I have made some significant changes in the way I think about my parenting.  Like many families in the past couple of years we found ourselves struggling to stay connected and calm under the circumstances of lock down, distance learning and keeping the family healthy.  As my son was getting into his teen years I could foresee things getting even harder. Since working with Meghan and taking the 12 week course things have really improved.  I find myself able to stay calm and ask for what I need and that my family responds. We have established family values and we set limits based on those core values.  We practice communication in a way where each of us feel heard.   My son takes on responsibilities that used to require nagging and threats.

Meghan’s passion for helping parents and her calm demeanor helped me feel safe to be vulnerable and I never felt  judged.  Parenting is hard and there will always be challenges but now I feel equipped to face those challenges.  I’m so glad I decided to do this!  ~ Rae Zander  - Ultimate Parenting Success Course graduate

   Perfection is Not the Goal

I decided to reach out to Meghan when she offered her services.  Our children go to the same school and I had worked with her on the PTA.  I really wanted to change the way I was parenting my 6 boys.  Working and juggling family obligations was leaving me feeling stressed and frustrated.  I longed for more peace and cooperation in my family.  Meghan was warm and welcoming and made me feel comfortable right away.  It was difficult to add another obligation of having to do homework in addition to everything else, but I was motivated to make changes.  Meghan was patient and understanding if I needed more time with the homework.  She helped me set goals and to shift the way I thought about what it meant to be a successful parent.  I have learned so much from the 12 week Ultimate Parenting Success course, like, how to have an empowered conversation and problem solve with my kids, how to look underneath the behavior for the unmet need, and how to see making time for myself as an investment in my kids. Things are not perfect at my house and that is ok.  My kids know I love them and each day I strive to stay connected.  If you want a more peaceful and  connected relationship with your kids I highly recommend investing in your family and signing up to work with Meghan. ~Jessica Valdez, working mother of six.

Warm, Non-Judgemental Support

When Meghan announced that she had graduated and was ready to take clients I jumped at the opportunity to work with her. Meghan and I are neighbors and we both taught briefly at the same preschool and our children go to the same elementary school, so I was familiar with her teaching and parenting style.  I booked just one session with Meghan to get some tools to make my mornings smoother.  In the hour we met she was able to help me untangle how my reaction to my children’s behavior was contributing to feelings of stress. Meghan created a safe place for me.  She was warm, non-judgemental and nurturing so that I felt seen and heard.  My mornings are smoother and I have tools like active listening, playful parenting and looking beyond the behavior for the unmet need, to help when things amp up - as they inevitably do.   I would definitely recommend working with Meghan.   - Alisha Wilson - One-on-One coaching Client
